MARI spreads awareness about amateur radio as a hobby and technical field 

They organize workshops and events to help people understand radio communication, build technical skills, and prepare for the Amateur Station Operator’s Certificate (ASOC) licensing exam, conducted by the Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing (WPC) in India.

During Ganpati Visarjan every year, Team MARI provides communication support to the local authorities like the municipal corporation, traffic police, and fire brigade. For immersion in the sea, ham radio operators are sent along with the lifeguards on the boats. This is a part of the amateur radio public service.
